平岩 弓枝
昭和7(1932)年、代々木八幡神社の一人娘として生れる。30年日本女子大国文科卒業後、小説家を志し戸川幸夫に師事。ついで長谷川伸主宰の新鷹会へ入会。34年7月「鏨師」で第41回直木賞を受賞。平成3年「花影の花」で第25回吉川英治文学賞受賞。平成10年、第46回菊池寛賞を受賞。テレビドラマ、芝居の脚本も数多い(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

お江戸の街中になんと狐の嫁入り行列が！

オカルト風な展開がおもしろい「狐の嫁入り」、正吉の見に危険が迫る「子はかすがい」など上質な作品が楽しめる第6巻。

収録作品が6篇とやや少なく腹五分目と言ったところ。
（しかし6作品でも十分素晴らしいもの揃いです）

いつもながら、事件解決の手法と、季節描写はすっきりと気持ちがいいです。

今回の作品には「親子の愛」がテーマになっているものが多かったです。

親が子を思う気持ち、子が親を思う気持ちは何年たっても変わらないものですね。

最近では親子で殺しあう悲惨なニュースが多い中、この作品を読んで少しほっとしました。
