病弱な若だんなと妖が奮闘するしゃばけシリーズの第八作目です。

ある日目覚めると突然目が見えなくなってしまっていた若だんな。原因もわからぬまま、長崎屋の妖達は光を取り戻すための方法を探すために奔走します。

一応、短編で区切られてはいますが、各々の短編では彼らの冒険が様々な視点で語られており、雰囲気としては長編に近いです。

人とは何か、妖とは何か、そして神とはなにか。思えば、しゃばけシリーズでは度々これらを問うてきました。そして、今作では第3の問いに焦点が向けられています。その答えに辿り着いたとき、果たして若だんなは光を取り戻すことはできるのでしょうか。

作者の新しい挑戦が垣間見られる本作は、それでも相変わらずの面白さです。シリーズのファンは元より、初めての方も是非お手に取ってみてはいかがでしょうか。

目が見えなくなった若だんなに、光を取り戻すまでの短編連作。
ここ数作、話そのものより妖し達の魅力に頼ったような表現が多くて
ちょっと飽き気味だったのですが、
今回は面白いしゃばけシリーズが読めました。
１つ１つの話の設定にひねりがあって、飽きません。
ほとんどの話が、うっすらと恋心を感じさせるものだったのも新鮮。
ほのぼのさせていただきました。

しゃばけシリーズの第８弾です。
「はじめての」「ほねぬすびと」「ころころろ」「けじあり」「物語のつづき」の５つの短編が収められています。
ですが、今までの短編集のように１話完結ではなく、それぞれの話がつながっており、連作集のようになっています。
今回は若だんなの目が突然見えなくなってしまいます。そこで、若だんなの目を治すために妖たちががんばります。仁吉、佐助、屏風覗き、家鳴りなどお馴染みの妖達はもちろん、ろくろっ首、五徳猫など新顔の妖たちも登場し若旦那のまわりはいつも以上に大騒ぎ！！・・・と思いきや、若旦那は目が見えないので長崎屋でいつも以上に気合いを入れて寝込んでいます。
ということで、「ころころろ」「けじあり」はそれぞれ仁吉、佐助の話です。シリーズが進むごとに若旦那は成長してきましだが、この２人も若旦那と過ごすうちにいろいろと変わってきていたということがわかります。

私は、仁吉が活躍する「ころころろ」が一番好きです。若旦那からの手紙を読んだ時の仁吉の様子に胸がジーンとしました。

文句なしの☆５つです。
