小林 よしのり

社会の中で生活する中で、個が確立した人は「公」のためをおもい、責任を果たすことを願うものであると思います。
本書では「公」のためを思う本当の政治家の姿が描かれて、感動的です。本書の主題は台湾の問題ですが、日本が忘れてしまった精神を台湾の政治家の話から思い出させてくれます。
今の拝金主義的な世界観、亜米利加的な刹那的享楽の価値観、そういったものだけが本当の世界ではないと私は感じます。
受け入れる、受け入れないという前に、多くの人にまず良く吟味してほしい本です。

「文庫にすると文字が小さすぎて読みづらいなら、大きい文庫を作ればいいじゃないか」
という奇跡の発想で生まれた『新ゴー宣』文庫版。

ついに『台湾論』も文庫化です。

単行本版に新たに描き下ろしとあとがきが加えられています。

『台湾論』は日台でベストセラーとなり、両国民に強いインパクトを与えました。

日本人に李登輝氏の存在と思想を広め、台湾においては、
タブーに触れたため焚書にされ、著者は入国禁止になりました。

歴史を描き、歴史を作り、歴史に残る名作。

文庫化を機により多くの人に読まれることを願います。

台湾については、侯孝賢（ホウ・シャオシェン）監督の映画を昔何本か観たのですが、当時はその内容を理解できていませんでした。
そもそも台湾の歴史を知らなかった。
また、自分の祖父はよく台湾人の友人に会いに行っていたのですが、それがどういう経緯によるものかも知らなかった。


後に、蔡焜燦（さい・こんさん）という台湾の方が書かれた「台湾人と日本精神」という本と、この「台湾論」を読んで、やっと侯監督の「非情城市」の内容が理解できました。
台湾に行かれる方は、上の2冊を是非読んでください。
なぜ、台湾が（中・朝・韓と全く異なり）世界一の親日国なのかがよく分かります。
