我孫子氏畢生の一大傑作だろう。同時分の流れの中からいっても抜きん出てる一個の達成である作品だと思う。眩暈がするような猟奇と時系列
の罠にはまっていけば、まずもって読者誰もが信じがたい画面に直面する事になる。まさに殺傷力99%を有す構成力。。

またミステリの概念以上に驚かされるのは、ここで描かれる家族の群像、母と息子の群像、そして社会が否応なしに対面することになる事態を
先見の明により完全に見据えてしまっていたことだ。原初の意味で本質的に母系社会・日本の凋落を感じられずにはいられない。。

名作との評判は聞いていました。
かなり身構えて、邪推しながら読み進めていたにも関わらず、
全く見破れませんでした。
読み終わったあと一瞬理解できませんでしたが、読み返すと
じわじわとくるものがあり、読めば読むほど巧いミスリード
だと気付かされます。
猟奇的な描写は我慢して読む必要がありましたが、この結末
はやはり読んでおくべきです。

ご多分に漏れず唖然とできること間違いなしです。

自分は根っからのゲーマーで、PS2のサウンドノベル「かまいたちの夜2」の、おまけシナリオを見て、我孫子武丸のあまりの馬鹿さ加減に大爆笑し、この人はどんな小説書いてるのだろう?と思い、とりあえず一番売れているこの作品を見てみる事にしました。

さっそく読んでみると…、あれ、作者間違えたかな?と思うほど“グロい”作品でした。
しかし、続きが気になり最後まで読み終わった時…、はい?なにが起こった?と思い、生まれて初めて小説を最初から読み返しました。
2周目を読み終わった時、この作者天才だ。と思い、さっそく、同じゲームをやった友達に、我孫子武丸って、ただのアホなおっさんじゃなかったよ!と報告して、是非読めとすすめた所、活字読むのめんどくさいから、映画もしくはゲーム化したら見ると断られました。

その友達は、一生この凄い作品を見ることは出来ないでしょう、何故ならこの作品は、いろんな意味で映像化が不可能ですから。
