　格闘家として、タレントとして、モデルとして、そして、作家として、幅広い
ジャンルで 活躍する須藤元気さん。彼の思想の根源にあり、発信し続けているのは、
『We Are All One― 全てはひとつ』というメッセージ。
　元気さんが今回中南米を旅して感じ取ったことは、やはり、『一人が変われば世界は変わる』 ということだそうです。
　本書を読み、元気さんの独特の世界観に触れると、今までに見えていなかった陰の部分も見えてくるような気がして、物事に対する考え方のバリ エーションが確実に拡がります。
何だか本書に勇気をもらった気がしました。
　残念ながら、２００６年大晦日の『Dynamite!』をもって、格闘家を引退した元気さんですが、 今後は、ブラウン管を通して、文字を通して、私達にメッセージを送り続けてくれることでし ょう。革新的なスタイルが新境地を切り拓くのだと思います。

南米旅行をもとに書いた作品ということで『幸福論』に似ているのかなと
読む前は思っていましたが、実際は少し違いました。南米諸国の、革命
クーデターなどに対する著者のとらえ方が独特。悲観的な見方ではなく
繋がりを探るところがおもしろいと思いました。もちろん内容はかたい
ものではありませんけど。メインはやはり旅行で著者が感じたことを
まとめたものです。

ただ、ただの旅行記ではなく、独特の世界観、歴史観、価値観をもって
まとめてあり、旅行好きの人でなくても、歴史好きの人でなくても楽しく
読めると思います。

個人的には、著者の作品の中で最も好きです。

　私の前に8人がレビューを書いているが、全員が☆５をつけている。　　“須藤信者”であれば、それも頷けるが、旅行記としては、（バックパッカー物を多数読んできた読者としては）観光旅行の粋を出るものではなく、西原理恵子のようなバカバカしいお笑いもなく、物足りない。
　後半、トロツキー、ボリーバル、ゲバラ、カストロらのつながりに触れていたり、環境問題にも言及しているが、著者に興味を持って本書を手に取った読者の多くは、これらの事柄に著者同様深く興味を示すのだろうか？　　　もしも、本書を読んだことで興味を持ち、米の汚いグローバリズム押し付けに怒り、環境に配慮しようとする人が増えたとするならば、すばらしいのだが・・・
