　私は小五の母ですが、今後の流れが何となくつかめると思います。塾からの情報と親同士の口コミでなく、かつ実際的な内容でしょう。
　季節を追って、親がすべきことの心構えと実際が、合格手帳作りの実例とともに説明されています。
　とくに、合格手帳の最初に、”中学受験の結果で、この子の人生は決まらない”と書き、目標となぜ受験するかの理由を書きましょう、とあるのは、ともすれば頑張りすぎて受験がすべて、になりがちな熱心な親子にこそ、必要だと思います。

受験生だと言うのに中々やる気が起きず、どうしたら良いかと思っていた時にこの本に出会いました。仕事柄、スケジュール手帳を使い、計画を立て物事を進めていきますが、子供にはそうした感覚ってあまりないもの。親が作った計画を押し付けても中々うまくいかず、ついイライラの繰り返し。この本を読んで、そうか！　子供にも同様に自分でスケジュールを書かせれば良いのかという単純なことに気づきました。早速近所で、僕らが普段使っているスケジュール手帳を買い、親子で相談して、1週間、週末のスケジュールを立て始めました。何を勉強するか、遊ぶ時間はどうするか？そうすると、子供も自分で立てた計画なので、だんだんとやるようになるものです。また、子供に注意してほしいこと、親が自分で注意しなければいけないこと、受験に向けて気づいたこと等など、この手帳に記入していきます。受験に向け、親子で努力してきことの証にもなり、そして、受験に向けたそれぞれのノウハウが蓄積されていきます。普通に中学受験を目指している親子にはオススメの一冊だと思います。

本書は受験直前の6年生の両親や子供を対象にしている。
しかし、むしろ４年生、５年生の親が読んでも有用です。
手帳というツールを使いながらの、中学受験の手引き。
塾では教えてくれない
１２月から１月まで過ごし方が要約されている。
特に直前の過ごし方は類書にはみられない
アドバイスが詰まっています。
