世間体ばかりを気にする理不尽な大人たちに立ち向かうために一致団結した生徒たち。大人たちを翻弄するために、そして、誘拐された仲間を救うために、頭を寄せ合い、彼らは成長してゆく……。

夏になると読み返したくなる本。もう１０回以上も読んだくらい大好き。このシリーズは学生のバイブルとも言ってもいい本で、これを読んで救われた人は少なくないはず。こんなステキな青春を送りたかったと思わずつぶやいてしまいそうになる。いつのまにか登場人物たちに年を追い越されてしまって、代替わりもされてしまったけれど、やっぱり私は、この一作目が一番好きだ。永遠のベストセラーと言ってもいいだろう。

わくわく、どきどきの学園ものであるこの本むしろ、小学生や中学生が楽しめる内容だろう。思春期というのは本当にあっっというまに過ぎ去ってしまう夢のような時代だが、そんな年頃の少年少女たちが繰り広げる冒険物語を笑いあり涙ありの小気味良いテンポで描いている。宗田理の代表作。10代の少年少女に読んで欲しい。

初めて購入してから、１０年が過ぎていますが、
いまだにその話は古さを感じさせません。

押し付けられた教育、システムに疑問を感じる若者が、
同志を集め、深く考え合い、一緒に廃ビルで過ごす。
学校の先生やマスコミから、横槍が入るが、
はじめは、ばらばらだった仲間が、
いろいろな体験を通して、１つになります。

読み終わったあとに、熱い感じが残る１冊です。
