With its high intensity workout and free-form movements, vinyasa or "flow" yoga is one of the fastest growing forms of yoga today. Essential to this practice is rhythmically sequenced music that inspires and guides practitioners through each session. "At every workshop and class I teach, students and teachers ask me where they can find music for flow yoga," reports Shiva Rea, who teaches at the landmark YogaWorks studio in Santa Monica, California, and at retreats around the world.
The answer is Music for Flow Yoga. On this evocative music set, Shiva Rea brings together some of todays best world beat, dance, and sacred music, sequenced and mixed especially for flow yoga. At home or in the studio, Music for Flow Yoga promises to be a welcome offering for practitioners at every level. Featuring: Jai Uttal, Gus Gus, Dum Dum Project, Ben Leinbach, Graig Kohland & Shaman's Dream, Peter Kater & Carlos Nakai, Al Gromer Khan, Ticklah, Glen Velez, Shri Anandi Ma
