この書籍が他の XOOPS 関連の書籍に比べて良い点は、
書籍のためにサンプルモジュールを製作し、ソースを含めて公開しています。
XOOPS 用のモジュールを製作したい人には参考にできる書籍かと思います。
記載内容はある程度 Apache・MySQL・php をかじった経験のある人向けで、
知識がない人にはこの書籍で解決するのは難しいかもしれません。

国内最初の１冊でしたし、その意義は大きいと考えます。

インストールしてはみたものの、「そりゃ確かに５分程度でインストールできたよ。で…」どこから手をつけたら自分が欲しいサイトになるのか全く分からない。公式サイトにはその手の情報は載っていないか探せない。

この書籍で全てを解決は出来ませんが、網羅的に体系立ってはないけれど、Xoopsを自分のサイトにするためにはまずこの書籍で、体系を理解し、個別の技術問題は公式サイトに書き込みで…
　スキルの高い方は、後半のモジュール作成のコードを読み込めばさらに上級者へのステップが広がる。

　ただ、大半の購読者の層は、自分の独自のモジュール開発が目的では内でしょうから。サイトの見栄えを改造する項目をもう少し厚くして頂くと申し分ない。
　繰り返しますが、道しるべとしてはとても助かりました。

私が欲しかったXOOPSの外部モジュールの作成方法の
情報が載っていて非常によかった。
さらにXOOPSの基本から運用方法まで載っていて初心者にもわかりやすい
内容で、XOOPSに興味あるすべてのユーザにお勧めできる本だと思います。
