The follow-up to the 10 times platinum, Grammy award-winning Songs About Jane will be sexier and stronger, according to frontman Adam Levine, who looked to 80s icons such as Prince, Michael Jackson and Talking Heads for inspiration. Recorded at home in Los Angeles with producers Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Eminem), Mark Spike Stent (Bjork, Keane, Gwen Stefani), Mark Endert (Madonna, Fiona Apple), and Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Nickel Creek) the album promises to be a louder take on the pop sounds of their first effort. １stアルバムは何度も何度も聞きましたが、それと同じくらい２ndも繰り返し聞いています。

２曲目「Makes Me Wonder」のPVは、空港が舞台でものすごくかっこいい！です。動画サイトなどで見れますが、私はそれを見てそのままＣＤを買いに走りました。

私はうるさい曲が苦手なタイプですが、ほとんどすべて気に入りました。特に「Makes Me Wonder」「Won't Go Home Without You」「Nothing Lasts Forever」「Better That We Break」がお気に入り。毎朝ウォーキングの時に聴いています。

「This Love」同様、世代を問わずに好まれると思います。

メガヒットのモンスター級アルバムとでも言えそうな１ｓｔを受けて、この２ｎｄは彼らにとって勝負どころだったのでは？
　結論から言うと、商業的には１ｓｔほどは行かないだろうけど、決してこけてはいないアルバムである。見事な身のこなしである。
　アルバム全体的にダンサブルな楽曲が多く、聴かせるというより、ＢＧＭとして流させるアルバムだなと思った。ＢＧＭというと語弊があるが、１曲１曲取ってみてもなかなかつぼを得た楽曲が多く、さらには、私らのようなおっさんロッカーにもとっつきやすいような８０年代くらいの手触りのある曲が目立つ。そして、それら１曲１曲が小うるさい自己主張をせずすんなりと耳に入ってくるのだ。今現代、ロック云々と聴きこませるというよりもこれくらいのアピールの仕方のほうが効果的なのかもしれない。
　買って損はないアルバムだなと思う。

まったく…先のMAROON5ブームに乗っかって過大評価すんじゃないよ。

実際、とんでもない。レーベルの要望か、商業的ポップ路線になって個性を絞殺。

MAROON5のアダルトで湿っぽいロックはどこへやら…。

何も気にせず取っつき易いポップな音楽を求める方には最適。

前作を聴いてからのMAROON5の音楽に期待する人には肩透かしになるかと。

肩透かしというより失望でした。
