バンド名を聴いて、大変マニアックな凝った音をやっているミュージシャンであると誤解されることがあるようですが、シンガーのナタリー・マーチェントを中心とした１０,０００マニアックスは自然志向のバンドで、戦争や児童虐待に反対を唱えたり、アメリカ原住民に対する白人の過去の行いを糾弾するる歌（本アルバム中の「Among the Americans」）で知られています。本アルバムではキャッチーな「Can't Ignore the Train」や力強い「Scorpio Rising」で始まりますが、私は「墓地を歩くのがとても好き」と歌う静かで明るい「Lilydale」が大好きです。
