幸宏初期の大傑作。ＹＭＯの「ＢＧＭ」に収められた名曲「ＣＵＥ」から発生し、
「ニウロマンティック」、ビートニクスの「出口主義」と発展したコンセプトが
完成を見た作品。なーんて事は耳の隅に置いといて、とりあえず聴いてもらいたい。
前出のアルバムから一歩抜けた、清々しさが耳に残ると思う。

幸宏のアルバムはいつもそうだが、まずはリズムアレンジがカッコ良い。
例えば２や１０。日本人では数少ない、独自のグルーヴを有したドラム。
スネアのフレーズを聴いただけで誰が叩いたかすぐ分かる、なんてドラマーは
日本ではそうそういない。
このシンプルだけど小気味良いリズムに、ジョージ・ハリスンを思わせる、
ちょっと突っかかったようなメロディーが乗っかる。これが実に気持ちよい。

発表当時はビートルズ的な、イギリスっぽい音だと思っていたが、今聴くと
幸宏のもう一方のルーツであるソウルっぽさがよく出ている気がする。特に７。
フィラデルフィアの音楽やメンフィスの音楽が好きな人にも聴いてもらいたい。

青さと熟練が心地よいバランスで同居する、素敵なヴォーカル・アルバムである。
先入観無しに、とりあえず聴いて欲しいと思う。

誰が何と言おうと私の青春（？）の一枚です。当時レコードを擦り切れるほど聞きながらアルバムの隅から隅までをなめるように（？）読み、歌詞はほとんど覚えました。歌い方もまねしたりして・・・（ハズかし！）お気に入りは『it's gonna work out』『サヨナラ』『使いすてハート』『it's all too much』でしょうか・・・（つまりほぼ全部・・・）この時のツアーも最高でしたね。なんといってもメンツがこれ以降ありえなかった！とくにJapanのツアーから戻ったばかりの土屋昌巳のギターはアルバムとはまた違いとてもエキサイティングでした。音源残っていればぜひCD化を・・・！

１９８２年にＹＥＮレーベルからリリースされ、永らく廃盤となっていた、待望の幸宏ソロがいよいよ復刻される。
４５回転のＬＰサイズミニアルバムとのカップリングは「二人の陰に」、「使い捨てハート」（DISPOSABLE LOVEの日本語バージョン)や
「白銀は招くよ」など、前作のロマンティシズムを継承しつつ、
よりダンサンブルに幸宏氏のボーカルも艶っぽく、憑き物が落ちたかのような力強さに満ち溢れている。

このアルバムはとにかく日本語の使い方が格好いい。
「明るいサヨナラ」なんて言い切ってしまうあたり、
かつて彼が神経症を患っていたとは思えないほどに前向きだし、どんな状況でも、それを楽しんじゃいましょ、という
幸宏氏の姿勢が、この上なく頼もしかったり。
何と言ってもこのアルバムの音像の立体感、
解像度の良さは特筆ものなので、今回のリマスタリングで、
より間近にそれを感じることが出来るのが嬉しい限りだ。
