語弊を承知で言うのなら、スネイク~はジギーそのものと同義付けできる。
なににろジギー名義のアルバムリリースは「GORIATH~」から「HEAVEN AND HELL」まで、3年以上空いた。何故か？その間、彼らは「SNAKE HIP SHAKES」と名乗り活動していたからだ。戸城氏脱退のあと後任ベーシストに津谷氏を迎えたのはいいが、ソニーには契約不履行（いわばクビ）とされ、その都合上「ジギー」というバンド名をしばらく名乗れなくなった。ジギー創設者の森重樹一はバンド名を「SNAKE HIP SHAKES」と変更し、ライブ活動に精を出した。結果、現トライエムと契約を交わす。

それから2年半で、彼らはスネイク~として3枚のオリジナルアルバムを発表した。その中でもファンの間で、人気の高かった曲がこの「WOEST」に収録された。私も納得ゆく選曲だ。特に「澱みない~」のようなレクイエム（森重談）が収録されているのが嬉しい。未発表曲については、スネイク~時代にあった曲であろう。しかし録ったのは最近だと思う。まぁこれは個人的な勘繰りだ。
「スネイク~として満足いく活動ができたから、今後ジギーとして活動する」とは森重の言葉だ。メンバーも満足出来たスネイク~の楽曲たちが、ここに収められている。
