新搭載の「テキストメモ」は、外出先や移動中に思いついたアイデアなどを入力でき、パソコンに取り込んで議事録や報告書などの文書作成に活用できます。また、英単語を1文字ずつでなくまとめて手書き入力してすばやく検索できる「英単語サッと手書き入力」も新たに搭載しました。従来機に比べて約30%広くなった手書きパッドに、調べたい単語のスペル(綴り)をまとめて手書き入力して文字認識させることができます。従来機のように英単語のスペルが1文字ずつ認識されるのを待って入力する必要がありません。

テキストメモ機能とテキストビューアが結構重宝しています。
.txtファイルをパソコンから持ってきたり、逆に送ったり、編集できたりします。
テキストビューアの機能で.txtファイルを小説のように、しおりがつけて読めるのがいいです。
英文の.txtファイルを作ればビューアで読み上げる（TTS音声）こともできます。
コンテンツが豊富で、もの書きの人にはネタが入っていて文章を編集できる、いい電子辞書だと思いますし、私自身の役に立っています。
ただ、手の小さい私にとってはキーボードが特別不自由ではありませんが、中にはキーが狭くて使いづらい方もいるかもしれません。
紙辞書に比べれば厚さも重さもないのですが、だからといって携帯性が特化しているとも言えません。
お気に入りのコンテンツは「一生に一度だけの旅500」です。ナショナルジオグラフィックなだけあってカラー写真が綺麗で楽しめます。
初電子辞書で、買ってからまだ数日なので他との比較などは残念ながらできません。
携帯性が少し気になりますが、全体的に見て今のところ満足しています。
