3D景観作成ソフト。シンプルな操作性ながら、フィギュアの背景やジオラマといったホビーユースから映像制作のプロまで、静止画でもアニメーションも幅広いニーズに対応。xStreamではMayaやLightWave 3DなどのCG制作ツールとのコラボレーションが可能なプラグインを搭載。植生や天候も簡単に設定・変更が可能。また、objなど一般的な3Dフォーマットに対応しているため、パースなども簡単に作成できる。
本製品はアカデミック限定製品で、複数PC環境で効率的な運用が可能なフローティングライセンス。
フローティングとは、オフィスなど同一ネットワーク上の複数のPCで使用するVueの上限ライセンス数が決まっている場合に向いている製品。最大同時使用本数のフローティングライセンスにより、同一ネットワーク上で同時に使用できるVueの上限数分の購入になる。作業機は10台あるがオペレータが2名しかいない場合は2本のフローティングライセンスがあれば、どのPCでも最大2ライセンスの同時起動が可能。※予めインストールが必要。
