3.0 out of 5 stars 聴き返してみると意外と聴ける, 2006/3/6
２度目の来日公演の再に新曲のモンド路線ににどうもなじめないと思っていたら、ついに「やってしまったぁ」というのが当時最初に聴いた感想でした。
ジャケットは最高に格好良いのですが、いきなり風呂場で歌ってるような１曲目の「愛のミリオン・イヤー」からひたすら「らしくない」ダンサブルな曲が延々と続く展開にちょっと耐えられなかったというのが正直な感想でした。こりゃジェリーコットも辞めちゃうわけだわ．．と。
でも、改めて聴きなおしてみるとこれが意外と気持ちよく聴けてちょと驚きです。ブラスもリズムも悪くないかもしれない。そんなに古臭さも感じないし。時代の流行を追いかけるような姿勢がどうかと思ってましたが今さらそんなことも関係なくなったともプラス要因。
私と同じようにこのアルバムで見切りをつけた方ももう一回聴いてみると良いかも。
