「アペタイト」こそ名盤で、「ユーズ」が劣るというのは理解に苦しむ。
元々、メンバーの音楽的嗜好は幅広い。それこそが彼らの最大の魅力であり、他のバンドとの
圧倒的な差を生んでいる。
パンキッシュでストリート感を備え、ノーベンバーやイストレインジドのようなドラマティックな
楽曲を作れるバンドがどれほどあるのだろうか？

発売から１７年、色あせるどころか、さらに輝きを増すに違いない。

　曲は統一性がなく構成もでたらめで、曲のレベルの差も激しい。「才能を持て余した連中がアイディアが豊富すぎて煮詰まって、アルバム作成を放棄して、とりあえず出した」という感じの、とにかく滅茶苦茶な作品。二枚のアルバムでもはみ出すほどの肥大したエゴ・暴力的な衝動・怒りのパワーに圧倒されます。「一枚で収まらなかったので二枚組みにしました」なんてアルバムは山ほどあるけど、ほかのどこにこんなとんでもないアルバムがある？？まともなアルバムは実質的にデビュー作だけなのに「世界一」になってしまったバンドの実力が伺われる凄まじいアルバム。完成しなかったことが残念な気もしますが、ヒット・チューンばっかりでも、渋い曲ばっかりでも、この迫力は出なかったでしょう。そういう意味で、完成しなかったゆえに伝説になった偉大な未完のアルバム、という気がします。

このアルバム発売当時は「一枚のアルバム」
として曲順どおりにアルバムを聞いていたのだが、
音楽に幅がありすぎて、「1stのほうがいいな」
という結論に達していた。

その後、「THE BEATLES」(ホワイトアルバム)
的な楽しみ方をする、ということに気がついて
ずっと好きになったアルバムでした。
