　「３枚組みだって？あいつは頭がどうかしちまったんじゃないか？」というのはこのレコードが発売された当時のジョン・レノンの発言ですが、確かに、ビートルズのジョージ・ハリスンしか知らない者にとっては、この「オール・シングス・マスト・パス」の発売は異常な出来事でした。
　しかし、このレコードは本当にすばらしい。エリック・クラプトンや、リンゴ・スターなどの友人たちの助けにも支えられて、たくさんの名曲が詰まっています。フィル・スペクターの仕事も特筆すべきものでしょう。
　そして私がこのレコードで一番印象に残ったのは、ジョージのボーカリストとしての魅力です。個人的にはポールより好きです。
　ぜひ聴いてみてください。ビートルズを解散した後の４人が作ったレコードでは私は本作が一番すばらしいと思います。

ロック史に燦然と輝く名盤のリマスターです。
オリジナルよりも音の分離が良く、かつてこのアルバムをアナログで聞いて、どっぷりはまった方も再聴の価値アリです。

このアルバムを聞く時に、「元ビートルズの、、、」という前書きは全く必要ありません。このアルバムは、このアルバム自体として高く評価されるべきですし、実際にそのような内容を誇っています。

　すでに発表から30年が経過したこの作品は、単に元BeatlesのGeorge Harrisonのソロ代表作と言うだけではなく、1960年代末から1970年代初頭にかけて「芸術としてのRock」が盛んだった時代の金字塔の一つとして、時代を代表する傑作だと思います。今改めて聴いてみると、決してPOPではありませんし、特別に優れた楽曲があるわけではないのですが、どの曲も粒ぞろいで演奏に勢いがあり、全体を通して聴いてみたときのトータルなクォリティの高さは尋常ではありません。1960年代末のBeatles末期から1970年代初頭にかけてのGeorgeは、彼の全キャリアを通じて最も冴えまくっていた時期であったようです。Beatlesとして発表され、今やスタンダードである「Something」や「Here Comes The Sun」を発表したのもこの時期ですし、この「All Things Must Pass」もこの時期の作品です。「元Beatlesの」と言う定冠詞を付けないでGeorge Harrisonと言うアーティストを考えてみると、彼は1960年代末期から1970年代初頭と言う時代にマッチした偉大な才能であったのかも知れません。
　1970年代のRockが好きな人、あるいはこの時代のRockに興味がある人には、「芸術としてのRock」の傑作として必聴盤です。

　またBeatlesのファンで、PaulやJohnのソロ作品は聴いたことがあっても、Georgeのソロ作品はシングルしか聴いたことがないと言う人は、この作品は是非聴くべしです。間違いなくGeorgeに対する見方が変わります。Georgeの他のアルバムはともかく、「All Things Must Pass」だけは、聴かず嫌いでは間違いなく損をしますよ~。
