分からない言葉があったら辞書をひくように、知りたい化合物があったら Merck Index で調べる・・・そんな本です。構造式、分子量、沸点、融点、溶媒（溶解度）、用途など基本的な情報が載っています。参考文献も記載されているので、さらに詳しく知りたい時にも便利です。科学的なことに携わる方は、持っていて損はないと思います。
