This is a book that gives you a read about 1)a guy named Putin who apparently everyone under estimated 2)the constitution of the current Russia. With all the changes in their constitution as writer describes, it does not seem that anyone will ever get the chance to be elected other than the chosen one controlled by few. It is a well written book that covers pretty much how business is run in Russia with much bribery and corruption for the simplest task of all. I just wish those people health and happiness... Sad, sad, sad. Mayors are chosen by governors and governors are chosen by Kremlin. How can any citizen who is trying to get into politics have any fair chance of competing when it is such a controlled process by few. In order to qualify to run for presidency, need to collect something like 2000 votes in two weeks from different counties where no average citizen will be able to qualify except if such individual happens to be one of the individuals from the inner circles with the right connection. Russians may not witness what Africa is witnessing but the citizens of Russia will never be able to enjoy the wealth that their country is blessed with. For a healthy, happy and productive Russian society where Russia is blessed with so much natural resources, Russia needs a caring government representing the Russian citizens. Sad, sad, sad. Russian Godfathers documentary is a 2005 documentary by BBC for three hours in the same story line where it shows the exiled billionaire in UK who gave the power to Putin has been doing everything to overthrow Putin without any success. The BBC documentary covers the trials and the billionaires prisoned in Russia who loose it all as well as the exiled Russian billionaires in other parts of the world. This is a real fascinating story but Sad, sad, sad... Politics is war and it is practiced all over and no government or system is immune to corruption. The only question is the level of corruption.
