大人の絵本といってよいと思います。つくりがとにかく美しい。空間の取り方も日本画を思わせるほど。宇宙空間から脳のニューロンまで、思いつくかぎりの大小の生物・無生物とその部分に名前が与えられています。
「これは英語でなんていう？」を調べたい方にももちろん役立ちます。言葉とアートの愛好家にぜひおすすめします。

アメリカ（多分イギリスもだと思います、でも行ったことがないから定かではないです）は色んな辞書が売っています、そんな中で僕のお気に入りはこのVisual系の辞書です。Macmillanのこの辞書は他のVisual系の辞書より個人的に見やすい気がしたので買いました。とりあえず、実用的です、普通の辞書ではまずのってなさそうな単語が絵から調べられます。ある意味かなりマニアックな辞書です。まず買ってそんはしないと思います。それに結構遊べます、暇な時は。
