Melanie Paine runs an interior design business in London. She is the author of Fabric Magic (1987) and Textile Classics (1990).
Fritz von der Schulenburg's photographs have appeared in most of the leading design magazines. He took the photographs for the books The English Garden Room and Living in Scotland.

これからカーテンを装飾される方向きですね。何パターンもの装飾の種類が載ってあり、見ごたえタップリです。どんなカーテンにしようか悩むほどです。これを読んでからバランスカーテンを作りましたが 少しだけ作り方載っててオススメです。

写真の数は大量です。どちらかというと、家庭的なものよりもフォーマルなタイプのものが中心でしょう。特筆すべきは、天蓋付ベッドの写真の多さです。各カーテンの構造当にも多少触れてはいますが、これだけで写真のカーテンを作ることはむりですので、どちらかというとカーテンをインテリアの一部として楽しむ方が、ベターでしょう。とても美しい部屋の写真が掲載されています。
