I was turned on to this book after reading "The Food Revolution" by John Robbins. Quite a well-documented different take on the same issues as Robbins. It presents a common sense solution to health issues facing America and all parts of the world that are now following the current unhealthy American food culture. This is not a diet book. This is a book about how to eat to prevent disease and live a longer life, even if you are sick now. Truly fascinating and well-documented. Yes, I am repeating myself. I read a lot of research, and the research compiled here is mind-blowing! I wish there was a Japanese version. Anyone working on that? I found the whole foods, plant-based diet extremely easy to live with. I haven't lost weight because I love to eat, but I am thinner, have better posture, have more energy, and I am feeling great physically and mentally. This book will change your life!
