As a reader of Sci-Fi since 1948 Astounding and Fantasy Science Fiction reader I found this story well written and focusing on corporate power that has become a
universal in our times. Likewise government.
The Captain tells this in future very well but it could apply to non-space setting right now.
A thoughtful and well-told book with some surprises.

I used to love reading sci-fi and hadn't given myself the indulgence in recent years. I really enjoyed The Captain, not only for the futuristic space adventure, but for the relevance to current issues and most especially the character development. I got pulled into Echo and the captain's world easily and enjoyed connecting with every character. Well written and easy to ready adventure with some fun twists.

Since the commentaries of Orwell there has been little written as well on the center of power over the fate of mankind, in this case the corporate world . The Captain is though set in Sci-Fi future is an excellent warning. Well written with a surprise.....Good writing.
