土岐麻子さんの曲からは、前向きなパワーを感じます。おそらくは、音楽的な葛藤を乗り越えて辿りついたのでしょうが、生きることを素直に肯定する音楽に、久しぶりに出会った気がします。少し落ち込んでいて元気が欲しいときに、ぜひお勧めです。

全体的に落ち着いた音色で、前作『TALKIN'』のような華やかさはなく、質感的には『Debut』に近いかなというのが最初に聞いた時の第一印象。個人的には『Debut』の方が好みだったので“待ってました”という感じ。突出したキラーチューンはないものの(3)はやはりインパクトが強く圧巻の仕上がり。しかし全曲に渡りハイレベルな曲が並んでいる。川口大輔氏の作品(1.5.7)は前作収録の『ファンタジア』に引き続き、土岐さんとの相性がすごくいいように感じた。期待していたキリンジ堀込泰行氏とのデュエット(4)も素晴らしい出来。最近のキリンジにも通ずるポップな作品になっている。大好きな『ブルーバード』もこのアルバムに見事に調和したアレンジになっていていいアクセントになっている。くるりの岸田繁氏作詞・作曲の(10)も一聴してすぐ岸田氏の作品だとわかる傑作。アルバムのエンディングを飾る壮大なアレンジとその強弱が見事。そしてやっぱり何と言っても最高なのが土岐さんのボーカル。今作も最高にキュートです!ほとんどの作品で手掛けている歌詞もすんなり心に届き、情景が浮かぶものが多く好感が持てる。アルバムとして、とてもバランスのいい上質な仕上がりになっていて早くも今年の名盤誕生という感じ!今後の土岐さんの活躍がますます楽しみです。

まずなによりこのジャケットの可愛さに気が引けてしまいますが、

大人のような少女のような、
土岐さんの「ズルい」女性の魅力がギュッとつまったポップな１枚です。

ユニクロＣＭ曲「How Beautiful」
ビル・エバンスの名曲Jazzに乗せた「Waltz for Debby」
キリンジの堀込泰行さんとのデュエット「Fools Fall in Love」
くるりの岸田さんの楽曲「ふたりのゆくえ」

などなど文字に起こしただけでも
聴きどころが満載でウキウキしてきます。

プロデュースの川口大輔さん・奥田健介さんとの相性もとても良いと思います。

是非聴いてみてください。
