昨年本当なら発売されているはずのBEST。

やっと発売です。初回限定は2枚組。

DISC1はCOME ON EVERYBODY〜Nights of the knife

までのシングルがただ並んでる目新しくもないものですが、

DISC2が現在入手困難な音源や未発表音源で構成されてるんで

それを目的で購入。

TMのCDは逃さずに買ってるんで、これが幻になってしまうのは

と思っていたんで発売されてよかったです。

小室氏、この頃を思い出して頑張って。

私もこの頃思い出して聞くから。

Come on Everybody以降のEpicレーベルでの彼らのシングル作品集と初回限定版はレアトラック集となっています。
レアトラックのＤＩＳＣ2に関しては今回はカップリング中心で当時ディスコ用に限定プレスされた12インチの音源が3曲収録されています。そういった意味では1と比べるとパワーは落ちています。
歌詞カードに彼らがコメントしています。このコメントは当時を思い出すことが出来よいと思います。
1と比べがっかりしたところがあったので評価は辛めです。

シングル集の第2弾は小室さんの不祥事によりてっきり、メーカーの自粛でお蔵入りになるものばかりと思っていました。過去に多くのベスト盤が存在するTMなので特に残念な思いも薄かったですが発売に至たりましたね。私も数曲はボーナスディスクで気になっていたので中古ですが入手しました。
（もちろん新曲であれば新品で購入しますが、今回はその価値にみなうCDと思え無いのでその気になりませんでした）
CDではラベルや歌詞カードを見ると2009の表記があるので去年にプレスした品のままでないのは、確かなようです。

ボーナスディスクで気になる曲は、やはり1、7、8曲目です。少し内容に触れると
1、間奏の所でUTSUの「闇のラビリンス〜♪」のヴォーカルがなく、演奏もフェードアウト無しでやや間奏が長い。
7、12CLUB MIX インスト曲だがプロモ用に制作されたアナログ盤に収録されていた曲でヴォーカル入りとも異なるミックスであり、ギター音がより際立っている印象。
8、UTSUと女の子の会話が無いインスト曲。コーラスや伊集院さんの笑い声は有り。
※他の曲は下記でもリマスターのクリアーな音源化されていたので新鮮味は薄いです。

歌詞カードにはシングル集第1弾の時と同様にTMのメンバーからの各曲にまつわるコメントがのっています。おそらく去年の発売予定だった前にコメント収録は終わっていたと思いますが興味深いコメント内容でした。ただ、今読むと時期的な事を想うと複雑な気持ちになりますね。
TMの25周年目はメンバーでの活動は難しいようですが来年には動きがある事を願いながら曲を聴いています。曲は☆5つでも企画や仕様と合わすと☆3つ評価です。
