最新・新生『スター・トレック』のサウンドトラック。
作曲はＪ・Ｊ・エイブラムス監督とのコンビがつづくマイケル・ジアッチーノ。

『スタートレック』の音楽といえば、故ジェリー・ゴールドスミスの有名なテーマ曲があり、
あるいはジェームズ・ホーナーの最近の映画版があり、と、敷居が高いわけですが、
さすがはマイケル・ジアッチーノ、違和感なく、上手いですね。

予告編の音楽が凄く雰囲気があって、しかも初めて聴く曲で
映像にもピッタリで、気になったかたも多いと思いますが、
予告編の音楽はマイケル・ジアッチーノではありません。

“two steps from hell”というユニットが作曲した“FREEDOM FIGHTERS”という曲で、
本編には未使用で、当然アルバムにも未収録です。
発売もされていません。
ユニットの公式ホームページまたはYouTubeなどのネット上でフルで聴けます。
探してダウンロードしてみてください。

同内容で、ジャケット違い、日本語解説付きの国内盤も発売中。
しかし本盤のほうが安いし、ジャケットがカッコイイ。
有名SFテレビシリーズの最新映画化作品『スター・トレック』のサントラ盤。
音楽のジアッキノは、テレビドラマ『エイリアス』『LOST』,アニメ映画『Mr.インクレディブル』
をはじめ,『ミッション:インポッシブル3』,そして『スピードレーサー』の作曲家です。

今回は、ジェリー・ゴールドスミスも映画版第一作で"さわり"だけ引用していた、テレビ・オリジナル・シリーズ(TOS)のテーマ曲は、エンド・クレジットになるまではほとんど使われません。

しかし、全体的を通じて、オーケストラ＋コーラスの重厚でスペクタクルな音楽、郷愁・希望までも表現した見事な音楽です。

本作での新たなテーマ曲は、収録１曲目「1.startrek(スター・トレック)」から、そのテーマ曲のフレーズを、郷愁と希望豊かに表現しています。

もうひとつ、ネロのテーマは「6.Nero Sighted(消滅したネロの故郷)」他で、ネロの邪悪な部分を一手に表現。

そしてTOSのテーマ曲は、ラストで語られるレナード・ニモイによるTOSのオープニング・ナレーション「宇宙･･･それは最後のフロンティア･･･」に続き、「14.To Boldly Go(派手に行こうぜ!)」から「15.End Credits(エンド・クレジット)」のエンドロールで丸ごと再演。
TOS風に画面が流れるタイトルバックに高らかに響くTOSのテーマ曲は鳥肌ものです。

今までのスタ−トレックのサウンドトラックは持っています
映画が意外な展開で面白かったので　つい買ってしまいました
曲想としては　スタ−ウォ−ズを想わせる様な　感じで荘厳なイメ−ジがあります
しかし　最後の曲はやはりスタ−トレックですね　独自の軽いテンポで
ああスタ−トレックのサウンドトラックなんだと
