まず、このジャケット！私はこのアルバムをジャケ買いしました。（笑）今でも部屋のインテリアの一部です。そして中身。これまたオシャレな音楽の宝庫。音楽もジャケ同様、インテリアの一部になります。主に昔の良質映画からのサントラが収められています。映画好きの方もこのアルバムを聞くだけでお気に入りのシーンなどが音楽からビジュアライズできて納得いただけることでしょう。DJの方もこのアルバムで思う存分遊べるでしょう。個性的なあなたは、このアルバムの女性と眼が合っただけで（この女性は目をそらしているが）、買わずにはいられないでしょう。お勧めの1枚です。

不覚にもお店で衝動的にジャケ買いしてしまったアルバムです。部屋にこのアルバムを飾っておいたら、その夜金縛りにあってしまった。このアルバムには悪魔が住んでいます、要注意です。音楽の中身に関しては聴いてからのお楽しみです。今世紀最大の趣味の悪いジャケットかもしれません。このような女性がいたら思わず「サタンの仕業かも」と思う私なのであった。補足＝英国のムードミュージックつまり日本では「ラウンジミュージック」の名前のほうが一般的。１９６８〜１９７６年までの英国の映画音楽やらをたくさんコンピレーションしたものであります。ラウンジミュージックが何かご存知ないかた。はたまたフィルムミュージック＝サウンドトラック＝に興味があるかたこそおすすめ。ちょいとビザールなラウンジミュージックのコンピがこれです。実際このアルバムはモンドミュージックファンには答えられないぶつなわけです。今聞いても十分機能する部分がかなりすばらしい。スーパークールなレトロなら問題ないでしょう。(100)

　1995年に作られた、1968年から1976年までのインスト曲のコンピレーションです。インナーに「ムード・ミュージック集」と記載されていますが、実際にはいろんなスタイルの曲が入ってます。ストリングスが目立つムード・ミュージック調のソフトな曲やフリューゲル・ホルンの感じなどがバート・バカラックを思わせる作品も多いですが、ブラスやハモンド・オルガンの目立つロック〜ファンクの流れを組んだ緊迫感ある曲も多く、緩急がしっかりついていて、ざっと聴くのにいいアルバムでした。古いですが「太陽にほえろ！」など刑事ものドラマのサントラに使えそうな印象、といえば少しは感じが伝わるでしょうか？ソフト・ロック調の1曲目"Oh Calcutta / The Dave Pell Singers"の以外は全て知らない曲でしたが、結構楽しめました。Mandingo(2,15,20)、Alan Hawkshaw (4,10,12,16)ほか、複数の曲が入っているミュージシャンもいます。どうせならコンピらしく全部違うアーティストのものを選んでほしかったかな。
