SUEMITSU&THE SUEMITH、１年ぶりのニューアルバム。

個人的に前作の「The Piano It's Me」があまりに良すぎると思った為か、
あれを超えるか、違った方向性の楽曲を打ち出していかないと辛いだろうなあ、と
偉そうにもそんな考えを持ってしまった自分がいた。だが、実際このアルバムを聴いてみると
シングルをまとめて配置してない以外は楽曲の方向性もエッセンスもほぼ前作と同じで
しかもマンネリではない、同じくらい良いアルバムに仕上がってる気がしてたりする。
　つまり前作の延長線上で負けないくらいの力作を作った、と。
末光篤という人物の「地力」と「ソングライティング力」は確かだと思った。

ただ、前作と違ってるなと思った点はいわゆる疾走感のある楽曲が今までの彼の作品には
多かったが、この作品ではアップとミドルとバラードが大体均等くらいに並んでいるということ。
それは先行シングル３枚もそんな感じだったように。つまりは緩急が今までよりも付けられてる感じがした。
そして音の重厚感も今までと比べてかなり強い。どの楽曲も音数が多く、豪華な感じになっている。
ちょうどこのジャケットのイメージ通りに。

という訳で前作を気に入った人はおそらくこのアルバムも気に入ると思うし、
ちょっとでも彼の音楽に興味があるなら手を出して欲しいとも思う。
なぜならば彼の音楽は決してコアなものではなく、すこぶるポップなものだから。

曲の流れや繋がりがライヴのようです。
曲順変えないでフルで聴いて欲しいアルバムです。
すごい展開や気持ちいい転調がクセになります。
前作「The Piano It's Me」も大好きですが
SUEMITSU & THE SUEMITHをあまり知らない人にはこちらがオススメ。

公式ホームページで視聴、Boyz,Boy Don’t Cryタワレコ購入時ステッカー視聴ページにて
購入前にサビ部分を聞いてましたが、本編を通して聴くと本当にメロディーよかったです。

正直、前作「Piano Its ME」は超せないと思ってましたが、やってくれたな！！
難波のライブ楽しみになりました。

特にM３、８、１１、１２がお気に入りです！
