3DCG制作のすべての作業工程を高いレベルで行う3DCGソフトウエア。本製品は、モデリング、レンダリングからアニメーション作成まで、Shade 8.5の基本機能を全て備えた基本グレード。今バージョンでは、新たに、インテルCore DuoプロセッサMacintoshにネイティブで対応。インテルCore Duoプロセッサの性能を最大限に活用でき、レンダリング速度をはじめとしたさまざまなパフォーマンスが向上する。さらに、ShadeでレンダリングしたイメージをApple社のQuickTime Playerで再生できるVirtualReality(仮想現実)データを出力する機能「QuickTime VR出力」を搭載。出力されたファイルは、再生時にマウスで表示方向をダイナミックに変更することができ、また、3種類のVR出力を可能にする。そのほか、Shadeのアニメーション出力に2chのステレオサウンドを付与することができる「3Dサウンド機能」の搭載、ShadeGridの強化、レンダリングサービス試験運用開始など、新機能が充実。Mac版。バージョンアップ版。
