A Kid's Review
Shadeとは、25年の歴史を持つ国産3DCGソフトです。
現在はPro・Standard・Basicと３つのグレードにわかれており、
廉価・入門版として用意されたBasicのパッケージには魅力的な
プロポーションのCG美女がほほえんでいます…

初心者の皆さん、釣られてはいけません。
Basicと言っても中身はProと同様の３面図UIに玄人好みの操作性、
ベジェ曲線とはなんぞや、という方にはまず自由曲面モデリングへ
入る前にベジェ曲線の描き方から覚え出さなければなりません。
このソフトはあくまで「廉価版」であり、「入門・ビギナー用」
ではありません。

加えてBasic限定でバンドルされるガイドブックはBasic以外のグレード
でないと制作・利用できない機能（アニメ機能でもBasicでは削除された
ものが多いのです）の解説が半分を占めており、ヘアー作成やトゥーン
レンダリングなど、【Basicでは使えない、用意されていない機能】の
見本帳となる事は必然です。

ShadeはPC・Macのハードウェア環境も選ぶソフトです（最上級グラフィック
カードでも表示が乱れる、OpenGL対応の筈なのにOpenGLをオフにしないと
動作しない事もある）。発売後一ヶ月もすれば、体験版がでるはずです。
まずは体験版を待って、ご自身と使用マシンの相性とを見定めてから
判断しましょう。
