The Seasoned Schemer informs the reader about additional dimensions of computing: functions as values, change of state, and exceptional cases. The Little Schemer and The SeasonedSchemer are worthy successors and will prove equally popular as textbooks for Scheme courses as well as companion texts for any complete introductory course in Computer Science.

他のScheme本もいろいろありますが、私の経験からは、まず"The Little Schemer"でlambda,letと再帰に慣れて、そのあとこの本に進んで、というのがわりといいScheme道のように思えました。この本ではletrecとcall/ccが中心になります。「プログラミング言語SCHEME」をリファレンスとして傍に置きながらというのが、なおgoodかも。
