値段的にも安いので、面白いのかなぁ…と買うのをためらっていたのですが、
プレイしてみて、買って良かったなと素直に思えました。
謎解き自体も、そんなに難しいとは感じなかったので、
難易度的にも丁度良いと感じました。

【良かった点】
１．証拠が全て揃うと教えてくれるので、ストレス無く、
　　また、無駄なタイムロスも無く楽しく証拠集めが出来る。
２．一話一話のボリュームも、携帯ゲームとして丁度良い。
３．キャラクター達が個性的で、しっかりとキャラがたっている。
４．捜査が上手くいっているかいっていないかを、教えてくれる人がいるので、
　　安心してストーリーを進められる。

【良くなかった点】
１．考察の時に、あまりに事前のヒントが無さ過ぎて、分からない時がある。　
２．ストーリー展開に、少々理不尽で強引な話がある。

トータル的にも、あまり良くないなと思う点はありませんでした。
推理ものが好きな方には、お薦め出来る作品だと思います。
安価で、これだけのボリュームがあるという事を考慮して、
☆５つ、付けさせていただきました。

PS2版SIMPLEシリーズの一作として発売された『THE鑑識官』の続編です｡移植ではなく､8本のシナリオ全て新作という点が泣かせますね｡
制作のTOMCAT SYSTEMは､SIMPLEシリーズで『THE推理』『THE裁判官』そしてこの『THE鑑識官』と言う3タイトルの近未来を舞台とした推理物アドベンチャー作品をリリースしています｡どの作品も舞台や設定はほぼ同じで､共通するキャラクターも存在するなど､同じ世界観を有しているのですが､ゲームの方向性はかなり異なっており､それぞれが特色を持った作品となっています｡
この『THE鑑識官』は3作の中では最も｢本格ミステリー｣の色が濃い作品となっています｡主人公は事件現場で集めてきた証拠を元に､セルフクエスチョンをしながら事件の真相を解き明かしていくわけですが､その過程が非常に理詰めな上､選択肢総当りだとゲームオーバーも有り得る等､プレイヤー自身の推理力を要求する内容なので､自分が謎を解いていると言う達成感が感じられるような出来になっています｡とはいっても謎の難易度そのものはそれほど高くないのですが､逆に理不尽さを感じる場面も無いので､純粋に推理を楽しめる作品だといえると思います｡
ただ､プラットフォームがNintendoDSということで､タッチパネルを利用して危機を乗り越えると言う場面がいくつかあるのですが､これがこの作品に少々そぐわない､あまりにも年少ユーザー向けな要素と感じられてしまいました｡証拠調べにタッチパネルを活用すると言うのはまだ楽しめたのですが…
また､先にPSPに移植された『THE推理』がフルボイス仕様だっただけに､ボイス無しと言うのが少々見劣りするのも事実｡文字もPSPの方が読み易いです｡ゲーム内容は良いだけに､プラットフォームによる制約とはいえ少々残念だと感じられてしまいました｡

はっきりいって、シュミレーション系は頭が悪いのか苦手でしたが、このゲームは専門的な内容を丁寧に教えてくれてから、謎解きに入るので、とても楽しく推理できました。

　ボリュームも程よく、この値段の割にはずいぶん楽しませてもらいました。
