4年ぶりとなったピアノ・ソロ・ツアー「Ryuichi Sakamoto Playing The Piano 2009」。
3月18日~4月29日まで全国で行われた24公演で演奏された500曲以上の中から教授自らによる
ベスト・セレクションのまさに“Playing The Piano 2009完全盤”。
6月6日にNHK-BSで4月28日の東京オペラシティコンサートホールの模様がオンエアされファンから

ライブ版です。確かにライブなんだからフロアの音が入るのは、正しいのですが… 大音量で聞くとライブの臨場感が楽しめます。
しかしですよ、気持ちよく盛り上がってきたところで「咳」や「鼻をすする」などが入ると、正直イラっとします。 毎回苛々されられると、流石にライブでも「咳」や「鼻すすり」は消して欲しかった…
フロアのざわめきは臨場感で良いのですが、長年、坂本のファンをやってきて、このCDの真意が理解できない、私自身が未熟者なのでしょうか?
ケージのように、聞こえる全てが音楽、だからライブの雑音も音楽のはず。という事?
ごめんなさい、私としては、美しい旋律に絡む咳の音をまだ許容できるに至りません。

止まらない観客の咳、くしゃみ、小銭を鳴らす音、時計のアラーム音などリアルに聞こえます。
観客のマナーの悪さを知ってもらうために、わざと収録しているかのようです。
そのため、演奏を集中して聞くことが難しいです。
演奏そのものは、ツアー中iTuneでダウンロード販売されていたものに比べると別物と言っていいぐらい、ピアノの音が全然良いです。

ライブなだけに緊張感があって楽しめました。
全体的な曲目、曲数も悪くないと思います。

ただ、せっかくアルバムで購入しているので、
全体的な流れとしてMC〜Tong Pooの挿入は
美しくないと思いました。
単曲買いの多いiTunesストアとは差別化して
ほしかったです。
おそらくMerry Christmas Mr. Lawrenceの
印象をさらに良くするための狙いがあるのでは
と思いますが、正直心地の良い流れではありま
せんでした。
（普段からiTunesでWAV変換して聴くので、
2回目以降この曲は再生していません。）

あと、聴衆のノイズに関しては、正直もう少し
トリートメントできるものであれば、手を加えて
ほしかったと思います。（まさかあえてノイズ
として意図的に足しているわけではないと思い
ますが…どうなんでしょう？）
ノイズ美学の問題かもしれませんが、これに
関しては、あまり質の良いノイズではないので…。

次作に期待します。
