内容紹介

2006年12月20日、「NEW STANDARD EIKICHI YAZAWA CONCERT TOUR2006~Rock Opera2~」の日本武道館最終公演をノーカット収録。今回2回目となる、チェコよりナショナル・シンフォニー・オーケストラを招聘し、ロックのみならず、しっとりとしたクラッシック・テイストのステージも演出した非常に贅沢な構成になっている。
また今回は、通常のライブ以上に舞台上の演出、ライティングにも拘り、LED等の映像を駆使した演出、ダンサーによる演出等、観るもの全てをあきさせない内容になっている。また、見た者にしかわからない、YAZAWAならではのエンターテイメントなサプライズ演出も用意されている。
今作は、音声はもちろん、矢沢監修のもとミックスされた、dts5.1chサラウンドとなっている。

【アーティストについて】
1972年ロックンロールバンド「キャロル」のリーダーとしてデビュー。このバンドは約2年半の短い活動期間ではあったが、日本語ロックの走りとして、その後の日本のミュージシャンたちに与えた影響は計り知れないものがある。1975年春、日比谷野音で燃え盛る炎の中「キャロル」解散、この年の秋、早くも矢沢永吉はソロデビューを果たす。

現在の矢沢は、LA、ロンドン、日本のミュージシャンたちと幅広く活動し、自由にレコーディング、コンサート等、クリエイティブに音楽活動を続けている。

そして2007年、単独アーティストとしては誰も成しえていない、日本武道館100回目ライブを行う。

日本を代表するロックシンガー・矢沢永吉が2006年12月に日本武道館で行ったライブの映像に、26ヵ所を巡ったツアーの模様を織り交ぜて編集したファン必見作。十八番のロックナンバーのみならず、しっとりとしたバラードも堪能できる。2枚組。

実に堪能した。素晴らしかった。ファン歴も長いので、（もっとも、上には上が果てしなくいる。）そこそこのものでは食い足りなくなってしまっているのだが、これはいい。一言で云って多彩だ。だから、二時間超が少しも長くない。飽きさせない。楽しい。そして、音楽性に裏打ちされたライブというのは、実に豊かであると気付かされた。ロックが、純粋な一音楽としてきちんと人の胸を打つというのは、これが初めてではないか。矢沢というだけで、もっと言えばロックというだけで、食わず嫌いになっている人にこそ観て貰いたい。「本物」がここにあります。

昔からのコアなファン（自分も含め）も最近のファンもぶっ飛んだ、最高のライブでした。若干バラードやＭＣでの空気を読めない間の悪い『かけ声』にイラつきつつもそれらをすべて圧倒してしまうパフォーマンスは見事です。特にバラードでは『ひき潮』をフルコーラスのオケ付きでやってくれたのには感動しました。（涙もんです）しばらく武道館には行っていませんでしたが、今年は行くぞ〜！って気になりましたね。余談ですが『アニキ〜』って言うかけ声はどうかなぁ〜（アニキっていう程近い年でもないし、気安く呼ぶなよって思うのは俺だけ？）。やっぱ素直に『永ちゃん』コール一本でどうでしょうか。勝手ですが・・・

前半の爆発するエネルギー。圧倒的なステージで夢中になってしまいます。すごい熱気です。後半は、少し落ち着いた感じ。　57歳？　信じられないね。
