ファースト、セカンドから先に慣れ親しんでしまった私には、やや洗練されすぎてしまった印象があって、ちょっと上品過ぎるかなあ、もっと泥臭くてもいいのになあというのが正直な感想なのです。それで4つにしてしまいました。
とはいえ、1曲目のひたすらタテ系の延々と続くグルーヴ、4曲目の出来などクオリティは文句ないと思います。もっと泥臭いコテコテのファンクをやるCHICが大好きなだけ、なんですが…。
とはいえ、'80年代にプロデューサーとして超多忙を極めたN.ROGERS、故B.EDWARDS、センションドラマーとしてそこらじゅうで叩きまくった故T.THOMPSONの'70年代最後の作品と考えればこういうサウンドになるのも納得できるところです。源流はもっと濃いですが！
もう、この3人が揃うことは不可能です。私にとってはBEATLESに近い無念さがあります…。
大きくシーンに飛躍していった3人のある意味で自分らしさを捨てずに追求したポップミュージックの最終形とも言えるかもしれません。
とにかく1曲目のグルーヴに酔いながらどっぷり浸ってください。そして、本作から聴いた方、ファースト、セカンドにも是非とも手を伸ばしてください。ここに行き着くまでの変遷、感じてただきたいと思います。

今では不可能なオリジナルメンバー（ナイル・ロジャース，故トニー・トンプソン，故バーナード・エドワード）でのCHIC，3枚目。このアルバム何が凄いかって，リズム。リズム隊のコンビネーションを体で感じると中毒に。音の隙間も音の一部なんだと教えてくれる。こればっかりは，練習して手に入れる代物ではないと思う。ソウルというとネチッコイと感じたり，ディスコというと下世話と思う人が多いが，ここから聴こえる音は柔らかく正にエレガンス！80年代，彼らと関わらなかったROCK,POP界の大物アーティストは殆ど居ない。その理由がここにある。派手に難しい事をやるより，よっぽどセンスと体に染み付いた物が大事なんじゃないかなー！
