歌は「なぞろう」とすると死ぬ。レコーディングであれ、ライブであれ、「産み出す」気持ちで向かうようにしている。

安易なカバーが「売れる」時代に自戒を込めているのであろう。

故岡田由希子のディスコグラフィーを見て、尾崎亜美の曲を目にして、久しぶりに聴いてみたいなと思ってリサーチしたら、いいタイミングで新譜が出ていたので手にしてみた。

かつてのコケティッシュなボーカルが、御年52歳に相応しくハスキーに変化したのは正直意外であり魅力的だった。総じてサウンドは今っぽくない。良い意味で。　アコースティックであるが顕在化させるような鼻につく感じもない。

企画自体はアン・ルイスのReBirthに似ている。アンの方が老成し殿堂入りの感があるのに対し、尾崎のほうはかなり”気張っている（≒力んでいる）”ように感じられる曲もあり、本格的な活動の再開を期待させる。フアンとしては数ある名曲のなかでこれらの曲だけでは不十分だし。

セルフプロデューサーの魁でもある彼女はまた録音にもこだわりがあるようで、エフェクトのない素のボーカルと弦楽器とのアンサンブルには絶妙な緊張感がある。

セルフカバーは掃いて捨てるほどあるが、稀有な才能の持ち主が作るものには開眼させられる。

もうかれこれ三十年以上ファンをさせていただいている尾崎亜美さんの、セルフカバー集です。

このアルバムを聴いて、ホントに本当に久しぶりに涙腺崩壊・・・号泣しました。

こころがしぼんで、本当にどうしようもないときは泣くことすらできません。自分の気持ちすら受け入れることができないのです。

そんなしぼんで砂漠のように乾ききったこころに彼女の歌はしみこんでまいります。

本アルバムの一曲目「冥想」は彼女が１８歳のときのデビュー曲・・芝の郵便貯金ホールに彼女のデビューコンサートを聴きに言ったのは私がまだ高校生のころでした。デビュー当時も今とあまりかわらない完成度の高さだったのですが、本作では、アレンジがシンプルになってるせいでよけいにストレートに歌の力が伝わってきます。あまり広くない郵便貯金ホールでしたが、ピアノ弾き語りのときはなんと、マイクを通さない生音そのものがホール隅々まで響き渡っていたのが今も鮮明に思い出されます。

デビュー当時、ユーミンと比較されることの多かった彼女ですが、ユーミン（当時は荒井由実）の音楽が黒・金・銀など都会的な乾いた風、無機質の光で満ち溢れているのに対し、尾崎亜美の曲は春風が通り抜けるようなパステルトーンの音で、これは生理的に「気持ちいい」としか私は表現できません。シャープでクールなユーミンより、愛くるしい、ほんとうに「カワイイ」としか言いようのない尾崎亜美の世界にこそ女性のしなやかな強さが詰まっているように思います。

「オリビアを聴きながら」で涙腺崩壊、大雨を降らした後は「曇りのち晴れ」でさっぱりと・・・きっと明日はもっといい日になりますとも！！

　キャリアが長いのにいつまでも可愛らしい亜美さん！
以前よりも現在の声のほうが好きです。
やはり人生経験が豊かな人が作る音楽は心に響きますね。
