ルースターズ、大好き！最高傑作！どれも皆、賞賛の声ばかりのレビューでそれはそれでいいのですが、このＣＤの歌詞、レコード盤と微妙に違いますよね。”ロージー”って曲なんですが・・・レコードを数限りなく聴いてきた私にとってはじめ「ん？」となり、歌詞カードを見てやっぱりと思いました。時代的にまずいのかもしれませんが、オリジナルで再現して欲しかった。確かに現役当時も”レッツロック”というシングルで歌詞の問題で回収され、再発ということもあったけどね・・・今更別にいいじゃんって感じ。イチファンとしての意見でした。

今や伝説のロックバンドとなったザ・ルースターズのデビューアルバム。
初期のストーンズがアルバムに収めたようなカバー曲と、
名曲「ロジー」をはじめとするオリジナル曲でのアルバム構成である。
オリジナル曲は今も新鮮に聞くものの心を捉える名曲ではあるが、
この時点でのルースターズはそのメッセージをストレートなロックとして伝えている。
それはアルバムジャケットに写るメンバーの姿と対をなすようである。
その後の再結成ライヴや花田がアコースティックライヴでセルフカバーしたりすると、
この曲たちが、またまったく違う趣になるのもまた興味深い。
「ロジー」という曲はある意味でザ・ルースターズを象徴する曲である
歌詞の世界観もメロディーもリズムとビートにおいても
そして「ロジー」のライヴでのパフォーマンスの変化の速度が
そのままに大江慎也の精神的と肉体を越えてしまったのであろう。
