　この一枚で、ルースターズの全てが分かるとまでは言えないけれども、ルースターズが歩んだ軌跡は充分に堪能できる一枚です。

　初期、中期、後期なんていうカテゴリーでは、まとめる事が出来ないバンドの変遷を曲が代わりに教えてくれる。

　そして、目まぐるしく変わるバンド・サウンドは時代を超えて私たちに忘れてはならないモノを呼び起こしてくれる。…、忘れてはならないモノ、忘れてしまったモノっていっぱいあるなぁコレがまた(苦笑)。

　僕にとってこのアルバムは、プレーヤーに入れる度に、間違いなく若かった頃に戻してくれるリセットボタン的役割を果たしています。

入手難となっている4TH，5THの楽曲が聴きたく購入。
（M-15,17,18は他BESTでも聴けますが,未収録のM-16,またRoosterzバージョンではあるが5THのM-2も聴けます）
それだけでも結構満足できましたが、アルバムとは別テイクの楽曲も収録（M-9,12,13,21)されており(S）時代のアルバムを持っている人にも満足いく内容だと思います。

あの曲,この曲が入っていないと言った意見も有るとは思いますが,
(S)→(Z)へ,Voも大江→花田,初期のR&Bをベースとした高速ビートサウンドからNew　Waveサウンドへ様々な変遷を遂げた彼らの奇跡が上手く集約された好適番だと思います。

アナログ時代に発売された『COLLECTION 1980-1984』を下敷きに、デビューから解散までの音源から選ばれた決定版BESTアルバム。
thee michelle gun elephantやPealout、及川光博のカヴァーでルースターズを知った方にぜひ聴いて欲しいし、下記の通りレア曲、ヴァージョンを多数収録しているので、オリジナル・アルバム紙ジャケ限定盤を全タイトル持っている方でもない限り、買って損はないと思います。
●シングル・ヴァージョン
DISK1-1、6、9、12、13(日本語ヴァージョン)、15、17、18(LIVE)、21(Winter Version)
●アルバム未収録曲 DISK1-5、DISK2-14
●未発表曲 DISK1-7
