私に取って初めてのリコー製デジタルカメラでしたが
今までNikon,Canon,CONTAX,OLYMPUS,SANYO等
数十台のコンパクトデジタルカメラを使って来ましたが
初の撮影で唸ってしまった程完成度が高い製品だと思いました。
白熱灯下、蛍光灯下、日光下でのホワイトバランスが
ほぼ確実に決まり、どのような環境でも綺麗な写真を撮る事が
出来るカメラだと思います。
液晶表示も見やすく綺麗なので、撮影した映像が的確に判断出来ます。

本体の作りも高級感がある表面処理がされているので所有満足感の得られる
一台と思います。
撮影モードも各種ありますが、オートでカメラ任せで撮ったとしても
まず問題となる事は無いでしょう。

他には動作が比較的キビキビしていますので、一眼レフのサブカメラとしても
持っていても良いと思います。

なにより写真を撮った事の無い初心者の方にも安心してお勧め出来るカメラとして
満点をあげておきましょう。

現時点で発売中の高級コンパクトを除くコンデジでナンバーワンのカメラだと思います。

目玉機能の「ダイナミックレンジダブルショットモード」は明暗の差が激しい場合に、今までなら白飛びや黒潰れしてしまっていた部分をきちんと写せるという機能です。

実際に撮影したものを見ると確かに階調が美しく残っており感動の域です。

またホワイトバランスも画面をいくつもに分割し、部分部分でとるという手法を採っているので特に肌の色の再現性は素晴らしいです。

他にもエントリークラスの一眼レフ顔負けの一秒に４コマの連射や、カメラが自動で７種類のピントで撮影してくれるといった初心者には嬉しい機能まで付いています。

写真を撮る楽しさを教えてくれる数少ないコンデジの中の一つだと思います。

持ち運びが楽で高機能なカメラが欲しいという理由で購入しました。
操作が複雑ではなく、使いやすいカメラだと思います。同じリコーの他ハイエンドコンパクトではもっと設定が細かく出来るのですが、私はＣＸ１でも十分と考えます。
前は目新しさでタッチパネルディスプレイのものを使っていたのですが、やはりダイヤル等の物理的なキーのほうが扱いやすいですね。撮影がとても楽しいです。
ディスプレイが他のデジカメに比べとてつもなく綺麗なのもいいですね。
