I really enjoyed the personal quality of the stories shared in Karen Musgrave's new book "Quilts in the Attic." As someone who is familiar with the names of so many of the other quilt artists, collectors and major players in the quilt world who are mentioned in the book, it was fun to see how many of them were first attracted to old quilts. This is a fun read that will send those who read it scrambling to genealogy files in order to try to find out more about the quiltmakers who originally created their own family quilts or other quilt acquisitions. Nice work! This is a must-read book that I highly recommend!

Having acquired a few quilts from my late grandmother, I was fascinated to read about the hidden history of so many quilts like hers whose stories have disappeared along with their owners. Great stories, great history, remarkable finds - a great read to cozy up with!
