著者について
Peter Yarrow is best known as a singer and songwriter. He believes that music from the folk tradition can bring people together in ways that reveal how much we truly have in common with one another and that we can be friends, despite our differences. Lenny Lipton, now a well-known independent filmmaker, wrote the poem which became Puff, the Magic Dragon whilst at university. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and family. Eric Puybaret has already published more than 20 books in his native France. His dreamy, peaceful illustrations perfectly convey the charm of this much-loved story.

主人が好きなフォークソング、と思いcd付の本を３歳の子供の為に購入。聞いた事のなかった音楽、ストーリーなのに、パフの可愛らしい目のイラストが気にいったらしく、本が到着したその日に何度も釘づけに。そしてパフは永遠だけどボーイ＆ガールズは成長して違うおもちゃに夢中になりパフに会いにこなくなる、というシーンで子供は大泣き。ちょうど三歳半の検診を終えた日、我が子がいつの間にか体だけでなく心もずいぶん成長してパフの気持ちがわかるんだな〜と母として感動した1冊でした。
