簡単な指示の羅列なので、英語初心者でも編み物が初心者でなければ、
説明文をもとに自分で図を起こして、問題なく作れる気がします。

「初心者向け：０」「初心者プラス：８」「中級者向け：１１」「上級者向け：２」
という感じになっています。表紙を飾っている作品は上級者向けに分類されています。
作品は１色の毛糸で編み目の美しさを楽しむデザインがメインのようで、
多色使いのものは４点でシンプルなものにとどまっています。
これだけ並べ立てられると、どれも作ってみたくなって迷いますね。しあわせな悩みです。
オシャレ好きの祖母が歳をとって肩や腕をあまり動かせなくなり、上着の袖に腕を通すのに
苦労していたので、ガボッとかぶっただけであったかいポンチョは楽で良いのではと思いつき、

この本は編物洋書購入二冊目にあたるのですが、ペーパーバックサイズでかさばらず、どこにでも持ち運べて、編物が楽しめる本です。内容も気さくな感じがあふれ出ています。難易度の表示があり、パターン表示です。日本の編物表示と違いますので、普通なら身構えるところですが、写真も明るくって、ついつい引き込まれてしまいます。これならできるんじゃない！って、気になります。第一、日本の編物本には、ポンチョの図案ってすくないじゃない。洋書ってこういうときに便利ですよね。楽しんで編めそうです。

About 20 ponchos. Two are for little kids. Mostly bulky type yarns on big needles. Good ones are: mitered poncho, entrelac poncho (definitely want to make this one), cabled turtleneck poncho, lace-cable poncho, cable and lattice poncho. Bad idea is the cape with the zipper. Unzip it and zing: it falls to the ground. Mohair poncho (or capelet) has pockets for some strange reason as it's much too short for them. The book might be useful as a stash buster to double up my regular yarns on the ponchos. So not the best of my poncho books but also not the worst. For that one see the Stork book.

I checked this book out of my local library and made one of the poncho's in four days. It was the red herringbone style poncho. The directions were strainght forward, however they asked for a seperate smaller weight skein of yarn, but didn't tell you what to do with it. I even took it to my local yarn shop to ask them if they could figure it out. I ended up using it in the frindge and when I knitted the collar. It came out beautiful!!!!!!!

I have made two of these ponchos and they have been fantastic! I think I will make some more when I get a chance.
