　新版になってから非常に見やすく､かつ情報も更新されて文句の付け所がありません｡ハリソンさんとかワシマニュ､Up To Dateなどで調べものをしたら､この本も見てください｡いままで気にも留めていなかった処に調べたことが実はちゃんと記載されていた､なんてことが多々あります｡読めば読むほど味の出てくる､コンパクトながら深い本です｡
　初期・後期研修医に限らず内科に携わるすべての医師にお勧めです｡

機会あって、ボストン市内の病院で学生実習をする機会があったんですけど、レジデント、学生みんな使ってました。マニュアルで、アンチョコなんですけど、すべての記載に根拠となる論文が書いてあるとこが、すぐれたところ。ポリクリ中等でスタッフの先生と戦いたい戦士たちには大きな武器なのでは。
よくないことは文字が小さいこと。いいことは、小さくて、白衣に入ること、リングバウンドなので、自分なりのメモもあとで付け加えることができること。

構成的にはyear noteを出している出版社のreview bookに近い。
診断や鑑別の手順、米国におけるスタンダードな治療が簡潔に書かれている。review bookと違って、検査の特異度/感度、治療の奏効率、根拠となる文献が逐一細かく記載されていてかなり実用的。内科レジデント実践マニュアルや内科レジデントマニュアルの米国版かな？バインダー型式なので自分でページを追加することができる。治療薬については日本にない薬もあるので、日本のレジデントマニュアル本や今日の治療指針などと照らし合わせると勉強になる。当たり前だけど、それほど詳しいことは載っていない。
