2-TONEのパンクなとがったスカも、
土の香りのするオーセンティックなスカも、
トロージャンズのようなルーツを現代に昇華させたスカも、
スカパラのように、にぎやかなスカも、
スカとは言えないかも知れませんが、
スカ・コアなども含め、どれも大好きです。
しかし、実はこのThe Slackersのことは全然知らず、
recommendの棚にあったので何気なく買ったのですが、
とても温かみのある、それでいてどことなく洗練された
サウンドや楽曲の良さに新鮮味を感じました。
私と同様に彼らを殆ど知らない方のために敢えて表現すると
スカのビリー･ジョエル（？）というか、
田舎臭くないが温かい、ホッとする街の灯り的な感じで、
スカに特別な興味がない方にもオススメです。
