アーティストについて

兵庫県生まれ。京都在住。
12歳よりサックスを吹き始める。 アメリカ、ボストンの名門バークリー音楽院へ留学。
帰国後は京都に戻り、アメリカ生活を土台に、独自の世界を探求すべく精力的に演奏活動に取り組む。
2001年 女性ビックバンド THE GYAO(ギャオ)結成。テレビやラジオにも出演。NHKでは生演奏を披露。
2002年 最優秀バンドに選出され、京都舞鶴赤煉瓦ジャズフェスティバルに出演。
2004年 国宝京都知恩院三門では、京都の女性和太鼓奏者とコラボレーション。千人以上の観客を魅了。
2005年 京都市民ホールアルティにてホール公演を成功させる。
京都市民ならではのイベントやチャリティ活動に積極的に多数参加。
京都文化博物館での着物パスポートイベントや嵐山渡月橋、寺社仏閣等での着物姿でのジャズ演奏は話題に。
着物生産の本場、京都丹後では、着物姿での演奏活動が認められ、京丹後市に招かれる。
たんごちりめんを衣装に演奏披露。

いい意味で、予想を裏切る女性サックスプレイヤーの登場！と感じました。音色は、深く表情豊か。フレージングは豪快でパワフル。とにかく彼女の演奏は、情熱的で心を熱くさせられました。女性サックス奏者とは思えない程にパワフルでありながら、女性ならではの感性と繊細さを感じました。曲もオリジナルは秀逸！！（さすがバークリー！）そして、スタンダードのアレンジと演奏は聴きこたえ十分。サポートメンバーも、日本を代表するジャズドラマ−大坂昌彦とコンテンポラリーフュージョン界のドン水野正敏＆矢堀孝一の競演も必聴でしょう。とにかくこのアルバムからは、ジャンルにとどまらないデカイ器を感じましたね！！

今は、なんか、清水さんみたいに年配なかんじのラッパーさんより、
若手ラッパーさんのほうが、断然いい感じだったりする。
下手ではないけど、感動はなかった。
自分には何かうるさい感じがした。
上の書評は、知り合いが書いてるからいいんかな。
がっかりしました。

文字通り金管楽器としの鳴りがしてます。
偏見かもしれませんが女性が吹いているとは思えないようなパワフルさを感じます。
演奏メンバーは素晴らしく、特に古川初穂さんのピアノが印象に残ります。
清水さんに対して他のメンバーさんのやさしさが感じられるようなアルバムです。
