著者について
Chris Baldick is Professor of English at Goldsmiths' College, University of London. He edited The Oxford Book of Gothic Tales (1992), and is the author of The Oxford English Literary History, Volume 10 (1910-1940): The Modern Movement (2004), In Frankenstein's Shadow (1987), Criticism and Literary Theory 1890 to the Present (1996), and other works of literary history. He has edited, with Rob Morrison, Tales of Terror from Blackwood's Magazine, and The Vampyre and Other Tales of the Macabre, and has written an introduction to Charles Maturin's Melmoth the Wanderer (all available in the Oxford World's Classics series).

The Oxford Dicionary of Literary Terms is a reference anyone who writes or reads literature or poetry should have on their shelves. It includes Latin and Greek terms for drama, more words describing poetry than I knew existed, and covers both classic literature and modern genre fiction.

Used This to Prepare for Analyzing and Intepreting Lit CLEP Exam

Very inexpensive yet comprehensive. Needed to brush up on the vocabulary of literature and its analysis and interpretation prior to sitting for the associated CLEP examination. Becoming familiar with the contents of this book allowed me to sail through the test (which included the composition portion at my university) and earn the credits without having to take the courses.
