Long before the Krites [Critters (1986) ASIN: 6302517052 see my review April 11, 2001], there was the much more serious Zantis. It is the mature of " Outer Limits" to point out the nature of humans. They do it quite convincingly in this episode.
Capital punishment being banned on their planet, the Zantis whish to offload their excess criminal beings here for "safe keeping." They inevitably escape. These little cuties, more like cooties [Cootie ASIN: B00000IWDO see my review February 14, 2001] get to act and inter act with Bruce Dern. Another Zanti even gets a leg up. In the end a point is made that is still relevant today.
