Excellent Resource

I've been an Oracle Applications technical consultant for over 10 years and during that time I often used Anil's web site [...] as a resource when I ran into new issues. Now with this book, I have a well-organized volume with all that info and more. In every section, I find new nuggets of information and new techniques that I haven't run across before, each with examples so I can readily make use of them in my work.
There are a lot of OA extension and customization requirements that just don't come up often enough to stick in your memory. If you're like me you remember that you did something like that before and you think it was for this client or that, but you certainly don't remember the name of your program and finding it can be a chore. Chances are good that whatever that technique is, it is either in this book or something here will be close enough to trigger the memory banks to bring it to the surface.
Because everything is explained with examples, this is a great book for someone starting out as a Oracle EBS techie also. I would strongly recommend that anyone doing customizations and extensions, or forms, reports and interface development buy this book. You won't be sorry.

Incorrect Examples

I got this book to keep myself abreast with R12 and latest developments in Oracle erp.A project came up with workflow and i started to read its 11th chapter .When i ran the example in Vision instance it errored out .After spending some time i found out that the author has missed to assign performers to the notifications in his example at page 331 .It is just one case i have encountered from one chapter i read so far .I hope others who are using this book to learn something from scratch will bring to light the errors encountered in the examples so that it gets corrected in the next edition .If this book is intended to clear the concepts for Project Leaders without correct examples then this book achieves its purpose.For developers who are beginning their careers,far more examples and a solid proof reading is required.

I wish i had this book five to six years back when i started my journey into E-biz , i had to struggle so much for every small things and figure out how and what to do and now when i read this book , it it spelled out so clearly that it takes few minutes to understand some of the concepts.
I like chapters on XML gateway and CLAF ..they are just great as you won't find this detailed information anywhere..Chapter on OAF and related customizations/Extensions is very useful in the realm of coming R12 and FUSION upgrades.
