PVを見た瞬間、「なんじゃこりゃ」と一人で笑っていました。

「修羅場」以来の作品だから、どんなものを引っさげてくるかと思えば、「OSCA」。
度肝を抜いてくれました。

いわゆる「売れセン」の曲とは全く異なる、「東京事変」というジャンルを確立しています。
聞く人によって恐らく、好き嫌いがハッキリ分かれるし、バカ売れするタイプの作風でもありませんが、
「記録より、記憶に残る」バンドだなぁと今回しみじみ感じました。

作詞作曲担当した浮雲氏は、前回のライブで「ミラーボール」（名曲！）を発表していますが、
そのイメージとは180度異なっていて、それがとても新鮮でした。
聞き比べてみると、「色んな引き出し持ってんなー」と恐らく皆さん感じることと思います。

また、カップリング曲、伊澤氏「ピノキオ」は、「手紙」同様、心の寂しさの部分を震わせてくれる作品です。

シングル「修羅場」の中に「落日」という名曲が潜んでいるように、事変のシングルは全て聞いてみることをお勧めします。

次回作にも大きく期待、の星５つ。

とにかくかっこいい！！

林檎がうたうから曲として成り立っているような気がします。
他の人ではこうはいかないのではないでしょうか。

　ソロとは違い、東京事変での椎名林檎さんは割と正統派な音楽を聴かせてくれると思います。
　本当は椎名林檎だけではなく他のメンバーも名手が多いので、そちらにも注目が集まってよりグループです。そういう個性的な集団の中で決して霞まず、個性を光らせている椎名林檎さんが大好きです。
　「OSCA」でもかつてのソロ作品とはかなり異なる雰囲気ですが、これはこれで素敵。楽しんで音楽を作ってるんだというのが伝わってきます。
